Accurate College of Law Hosts Seminar on Indian Judicial System and Constitution

Greater Noida: Accurate College of Law, Greater Noida organized a grand and insightful seminar on the theme “Indian Judicial System and Constitution” in the college premises. The seminar was not only academically significant but also proved highly useful in providing students with a deep understanding of the judiciary and the Constitution.

On this occasion, Hon’ble Justice (Retd.) Rajesh Tandon, Former Judge of Uttarakhand High Court, was invited as the Chief Guest. His gracious presence added great prestige to the seminar. In his thought-provoking address, Hon’ble Justice Tandon elaborated on the structure and role of the Indian judiciary. Discussing the importance of the Constitution in detail, he emphasized that it is not merely a legal document but the very soul of the nation and the backbone of democracy. He explained to the students that the foremost duty of a law student is to safeguard justice and ensure that it reaches every section of society.

Justice Tandon particularly stressed that the benefits of the judicial system must reach the weaker, poorer, and marginalized sections of society. He stated that until the last person in society receives justice, the purpose of the judiciary remains incomplete. Encouraging the students, he added that in the times to come, those law students who make justice and morality the guiding principles of their lives will emerge as true torchbearers of society.

The session was presided over by Ms. Poonam Sharma, Chairperson of Accurate Group of Institutions, along with the Director (Law), Director (Management), and Vice President (Training & Placement). The presence of all distinguished dignitaries made the seminar even more meaningful.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson Ms. Poonam Sharma said, “The Constitution and Judiciary are the foundations of our nation’s development and justice. It is our responsibility to ensure that our young students not only learn the law but also accept the responsibility of delivering justice to the weaker sections of society. Through this seminar, we are inspiring our students to walk on the path of justice and true values so that they can bring about positive change in society in the future.”

Students of B.A. LL.B. (1st & 3rd Semester) and LL.B. (1st & 3rd Semester) enthusiastically participated in the seminar. All faculty members of the Law Department were also present on the occasion. The students listened attentively and interacted with Justice Tandon through their questions. This interactive environment not only resolved their queries but also acquainted them with the practical aspects of the judiciary and the Constitution.

The seminar imparted to students a profound understanding that the Constitution is not merely a legal text but a symbol of equality, justice, and liberty. There was also detailed discussion on the functioning of the judiciary and the need to ensure access to justice for all citizens. This academic event gave students a new direction in intellectual development and left a lasting impact on their young minds.

On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) B.K. Yadav, Director, Accurate College of Law, extended heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Justice (Retd.) Rajesh Tandon for sharing his valuable thoughts and experiences.
