The much-awaited teaser of Shri Ramayan Katha has been unveiled on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, giving audiences their first glimpse into a grand cinematic retelling of the timeless epic Ramayana. Featuring Dev Sharma and Anjali Arora in leading roles, alongside Sheel Verma, Nirbhay Wadhwa, and Rajnish Duggal, the teaser captures the devotion, valor, and emotional essence of Shri Ram’s journey.
The teaser emphasizes the core themes of the Ramayana—dharma, sacrifice, devotion, and courage—while presenting them in a fresh, modern cinematic style. The emotional connection between characters, especially the portrayal of Shri Ram’s journey, stands out as the heart of the teaser.
The film is bringing forth Shri Ram’s life events in a way never seen before on screen.
Produced by Prakash Mahobiya and Sanjay Bundela, the film is directed by Abhishek Singh, who has also penned the story. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Sachin Kumar Singh, with cinematography by Kunal V. Kadam. Music is composed by Dev & Ashish, with lyrics by Jaydev Jonwal and Nandlal Singh.
The stellar cast includes Dev Sharma, Anjali Arora, Sheel Verma, Nirbhay Wadhwa, and Rajnish Duggal, bringing the epic characters to life with fresh intensity and grandeur.
Speaking on the teaser launch, director Abhishek Singh said that Shri Ramayan Katha is not just a retelling of the Ramayana but a heartfelt cinematic experience that blends devotion with grandeur. We wanted to capture the emotional essence of Shri Ram’s journey while presenting it in a visually magnificent way.
Producer Prakash Mahobiya added that this project is very close to our hearts. We wanted to make a film that respects our traditions yet speaks to today’s audiences. The teaser’s response has been overwhelming, and we are confident that the film will resonate deeply when it releases this December.
Shot across Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, Ayodhya, and Ramoji Film City, the film has already completed its shooting schedule and is now in post-production. Backed by high-quality VFX from Flamingo VFX, impactful sound design by Afterplay Studio, and visual promotions by Post Man Studio, the film is set to offer audiences a spiritual and cinematic spectacle.
Shri Ramayan Katha is slated for release in December 2025 in both Chhattisgarhi and Hindi languages.
