Ahmedabad: More than 1100 students and 50+ parents attended the Career Explore Fair 2025, hosted by Global Indian International School (GIIS) Ahmedabad recently, to get first-hand experience on emerging careers and have direct interaction with industry leaders as they seek guidance to shape their future professional aspirations.
The day-long event is part of GIIS initiative to give students information on the careers that await them and help them prepare in advance for the paths they intend to take in their educational journey.
The event was inaugurated by Caesar D’Silva, Principal, GIIS Ahmedabad, with Dr Miti Randeri, Founder and CEO, E4 HR Associates and Emkay Inner Wellness Pvt. Ltd., who delivered the keynote address on “Evolving Universe of Careers”. She was joined by a distinguished panel of 18 career experts, many from the GIIS parent community, underscoring the power of collective mentorship.
The fair featured expert talks, one-to-one guidance sessions and immersive ‘A Day at Work’ demonstrations, that offered students a real-world glimpse into professional life. Leading organisations such as ISRO, Indigo, Sterling Hospital, NID, Indian Bank, Price Waterhouse & Co LLP, Commerce Pundit Technologies, IIHM, Harit Jewellers, The Athlete Mentality, and Ahmedabad University set up interactive booths, representing diverse sectors from healthcare, engineering, IT, business, hospitality, sports science, and creative industries.
Dr. Randeri noted, “This fair let students engage directly with professionals and see how quickly careers evolve. Early exposure builds adaptability and confidence to shape their paths, preparing them for opportunities that may not yet exist.”
Adding to the opening session, Nidhi Mehra, Senior Career Counsellor, Global Schools Group, spoke on the topic “The Changing Career Landscape”. She emphasised that “The age of AI is redefining career journeys, which necessitates that students develop targeted expertise from the outset.” Through guided exploration and skill-focused education, GIIS is preparing its learners not just to adapt but to lead in this rapidly evolving career space.”
Parent echoed the value of the initiative, Mr. Ram Sharma, father of Grade 9A student remarked, “My child, Shresth Sharma, could speak with scientists, designers, and bankers all in one morning. Hearing professionals describe their journeys and make career choices feel real and achievable. For us as parents, it was equally valuable.”
