Saanvi Social Welfare Organisation with ITDP Empowers 9000 Women and Students Through Literacy and Financial literacy program
Saanvi Social Welfare Organisation, in collaboration with the Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP), Dahanu, has successfully completed Literacy and Financial literacy programs benefiting 9,000 women and students. Under the leadership of Project Officer Shri Vishal Khatri (IAS) and Isha Rawat, Director of Saanvi Social Welfare Organisation of the Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan, approximately 3,000 women and 6,000 students actively participated in building the foundation of literacy and financial awareness.

As part of the initiative, 10 Literacy and Financial Literacy programs were conducted across 10 Ashramshalas in Dahanu and Talasari, empowering women and children through education and practical financial knowledge.
A heartwarming highlight of the program was when students guided their mothers in writing their own names—a powerful moment for women, many of whom had never attended school before. To honor their participation, each woman received a saree, sugar, and tea as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement.
Shri Vishal Khatri (IAS) – Project Officer, Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan, ITDP Dahanu, said: “This initiative shows the impact of collaboration. Literacy and financial awareness are key to stronger, self-reliant communities.”
Isha Rawat, Director – Saanvi Social Welfare Organisation, shared: “Seeing students help their mothers write their names was truly inspiring. Literacy empowers women and builds confidence for a brighter future.”
This initiative not only introduced women to basic literacy but also raised awareness about financial skills, enabling participants to take small yet significant steps toward independence and empowerment. A truly inspiring beginning toward positive change, confidence-building, and stronger communities.
