Smiling Tree Contributes Planters as Delhi University Inaugurates Its First Pink Booth at Miranda House College
New Delhi: Smiling Tree, a leading environmental initiative focused on urban greening and sustainability, has partnered with Delhi University for the inauguration of its first Pink Booth at Miranda House College, along with an integrated police booth near Gate No. 4 of the Faculty of Arts. The initiative has been launched in collaboration with the Delhi Police to strengthen campus safety while promoting a greener, more inclusive, and student-centric environment.
As part of this initiative, Smiling Tree enhanced the Pink Booth premises by providing a variety of planters, including Areca palms, Aglaonema plants, Bamboo plants, Snake plants, and Zamia plants. These plants have been thoughtfully placed to create a calming, welcoming, and eco-friendly atmosphere around the safety booth, reinforcing the message of care, protection, and well-being.
The Pink Booth is designed to serve as a dedicated support and assistance point, particularly for women students, offering a sense of security and accessibility on campus. By integrating sustainability with safety infrastructure, the initiative highlights the importance of holistic campus development.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, Founder of Smiling Tree, said, “At Smiling Tree, we believe that safety and sustainability must go hand in hand. By greening spaces associated with care and protection, we aim to create environments that are not only secure but also nurturing and positive for students. We are proud to support Delhi University and the Delhi Police in this meaningful initiative.”
The inauguration of the Pink Booth at Miranda House College marks an important step toward building safer educational spaces while encouraging environmental responsibility. Smiling Tree continues to work with educational institutions, government bodies, and civic authorities to promote urban greening and sustainability across India.
