Over 200 alumni from the 1978-’81 academic period, representing all 12 optional streams, gathered to celebrate 44 years since their graduation, creating an atmosphere brimming with joy, nostalgia, and camaraderie.
The event was a vibrant homecoming for the attendees, who, at 65, felt young at heart as they recalled the sweet memories of their college days in the early 1980s. Laughter echoed through the auditorium as they shared stories of mischief, pranks played on faculties, and the naughtiness that defined their youth. The alumni were transported back to their early twenties, with some serenading the crowd with favourite love songs, others dancing, and a young lady at 65 showcasing her talent on the veena.

The reunion featured cultural performances, including a captivating Thiruvathirakali, a veena concert, and Kadhakalipadangal, which added a festive charm to the day.
