New Delhi : At just 14, Ishaan Gupta is bringing five years of his origami journey to Delhi with ‘An Origami Odyssey’, a three-day exhibition that explores the many possibilities of paper as an art form.

The exhibition will be held from September 25 to 27, 2026, at the Open Palm Court, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. It will be inaugurated by Ankon Mitra, the renowned architect and artist known for exploring the relationship between origami, architecture and space.

Ishaan began exploring origami five years ago, starting with simple folds and gradually moving towards more intricate and ambitious creations. His exhibition will feature tessellations, geometric forms, animal figures, wall art, lights and sculptures, reflecting his interest in art, mathematics and design.

More than a collection of paper models, An Origami Odyssey traces Ishaan’s creative journey and his experimentation with form, pattern and structure. At 14, the exhibition marks an important milestone for the young artist as he continues to discover new ways of working with paper.

For Ankon Mitra, whose own practice has explored origami-inspired forms across art and architecture, the inauguration adds another perspective to the exhibition, bringing together a young artist’s evolving work with a wider exploration of folding, form and space.
