Forest Department officials have confiscated 150 Kilograms of sea cucumber from a man at Mandapam, near Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu today.
Officials confirmed that the value of the seized items comes to around 10 lakh rupees.
The incident assumes significance as the earlier seizure of sea cucumbers was made in the same area last Thursday.
Sea cucumbers have been declared as endangered species and catching them is legally prohibited in the country.
