Dimapur: The security forces apprehended two cadres of NSCN (I-M) near Chumukedima here on October 27, a defence release said on Thursday. Based on specific input, the security forces, along with police, launched an operation and apprehended the two cadres from the area, the release said. One 7.65mm carbine with magazine, one .32 mm pistol with 12 rounds of live ammunition, 10 rounds of 12 bore, one Baofeng Motorola set, one gold bar of 166 gm valued at Rs 8.75 lakh and Rs 6.32 lakh in cash were recovered from them.
The apprehended cadres, along with the recovered items, were handed over to Chumukedima police, the release added.
