Kokrajhar: Kokrajhar registered its 9th COVID-19 fatality after a 52 years old man died at Kokrajhar Rupnath Brahma Civil Hospital Covid Centre today. The man identifed as Nihil Saha, a resident of Kokrajhar Santinagar ward no 2 was admitted to the hospital last evening with severe respiratory distress but died today morning, health officials said.
Meanwhile 21 fresh cases were reported today bringing the total COVID-19 positive cases to 1560. Altogether 1210 patients, including 23 today were discharged after recovery so far. Present active case is 251. Total 9 people have died of the virus so far in the district. 50 patients were referred to other hospitals.
