In a sudden surge in COVID positive cases, Telangana reported 352 new Coronavirus positive cases yesterday. Out of this, 302 reported from Hyderabad and its municipal area.
Neighbouring Rangareddy district reported 17 new cases while Medchel Malkajgiri district reported 10 new cases. Remaining cases reported from 11 other districts across the state.
With this, total reported COVID-19 cases in the state have gone up to 6027. After discharging 230 people who have recovered, the total recoveries in the state so far has gone up to 3301.
On the other hand, 3 more persons succumbed yesterday taking the death toll due to COVID-19 and other comorbidities to 195.
Meanwhile, the state High Court has directed the state government to undertake testing as per the ICMR guidelines and test all primary contacts. The High Court also asked the state government to reveal crucial details of positive cases zone wise in the medical bulletins. It also directed the State to create awareness among people that COVID treatment is available at 54 hospitals across the state.
Meanwhile the doctors who tested positive for Coronavirus has gone up to 79 in the state. This was informed by the state government to the high court yesterday.
