With the implementation of the NEP 2020 and the UGC’s 2023 regulations enabling foreign universities to establish campuses in India, the country is accelerating the internationalisation of its higher education ecosystem and building the institutional infrastructure to host global academic talent. This shift is not only expanding access for Indian students but also positioning India as an emerging destination for inbound students, faculty, and research collaboration.

”For decades, India has been a net exporter of talent. With the IBC ecosystem taking shape, we have a window to reverse that flow, by bringing global education closer to home and making India a viable destination for both domestic and international students. This is not just about access; it’s about national competitiveness, talent retention, and institutional capacity building. If scaled effectively, it could translate into an estimated $10-12 billion in annual foreign exchange savings, while reinforcing India’s long-term economic growth trajectory,’’ added Ashwin Damera, Co-Founder & CEO of Eruditus Group which is enabling the market-entry and operational readiness as aligned under NEP 2020 for these universities.

The Eruditus Open House Series 2026 is expected to drive strong participation from students and parents, serving as a direct bridge between global universities and India’s next generation of learners.
