Telangana reported 945 fresh Corona virus Positive cases yesterday taking the total COVID -19 cases in the state to 16 thousand 339. Recoveries also are on rise with 1712 patients being discharged on a single day yesterday after recovery from the COVID-19. With this. 7 thousand 294 patients have been discharged on their recovery from the virus. Presently 8 thousand 785 people are under treatment at various hospitals.
Out of the fresh cases reported yesterday, 869 cases reported from the Hyderabad municipality area while Rangareddy district accounted for 29 fresh cases whereas Sangareddy accounted for 20 cases and Medchal Malkajgiri district accounted for 13. Fresh cases in single digit also reported from 8 other districts. Meanwhile, 7 more died, taking the total deaths relating to COVID 19 and other co-morbidities in the state to 260.
Telangana Health Minister Rajender has directed all medical colleges across the state to make necessary arrangements to admit COVID-19 patients if needed so that pressure is eased on hospitals in Hyderabad. With a large number of cases being reported from the GHMC limits the minister instructed officials to increase surveillance.
