RVNL Organises One-Day Conference in New Delhi of its Chief Project Managers from Project Implementation Units located Across Nearly 30 Cities

New Delhi : The Chairman & Managing Director of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) delivered the keynote address at the one-day Conference of Chief Project Managers (CPMs) from various Project Implementation Units (PIUs) located across nearly 30 cities in the country, held in New Delhi. He emphasized execution excellence, innovation, and institutional strengthening as key drivers for the organization’s future growth.

Appreciating the efforts of RVNL teams working across the country, the CMD stated that while regular interactions take place through virtual platforms, direct engagement with field officers helps strengthen coordination, improve understanding of ground realities, and enhance organizational alignment.

Highlighting RVNL’s status as a listed company, he noted that the organization has witnessed significant growth in market capitalization and continues to enjoy strong investor confidence. He emphasized that RVNL carries greater responsibility towards its stakeholders and must sustain growth through efficiency, profitability, and timely delivery of projects.

The CMD underlined the need to create a distinct market niche by effectively leveraging RVNL’s technical expertise, engineering capability, and proven execution strength.

He stressed the importance of integrity, organizational loyalty, and professional commitment as foundational values for institutional success. He also called for regular training programmes focusing on emerging technologies, innovation, and modern project management practices to further strengthen organizational capacity.

Referring to landmark achievements such as the iconic Pamban Bridge, the CMD stated that RVNL’s engineering excellence must be showcased at national as well as global platforms. He appreciated the dedication and professionalism of teams working on major projects, including the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag railway line and the technically challenging Kolkata Metro works, among others.

CMD said that timely completion, safety, and quality must remain the three guiding principles of all our project execution efforts.

The CMD emphasized the importance of well-documented policies, procedures, and institutional systems to ensure that organizational functioning remains process-driven rather than person-centric.

He also highlighted the need to further strengthen employee welfare initiatives by adopting best practices followed across other leading PSUs.

Calling upon all participants to engage in constructive brainstorming and knowledge sharing, the CMD expressed confidence that the conference would generate practical ideas, actionable suggestions, and strategic insights to further enhance RVNL’s performance and growth trajectory.

During the conference, Chief Project Managers made detailed presentations highlighting progress, challenges, and achievements within their respective project domains across the country.

In addition, various departments at the RVNL Corporate Office, New Delhi, delivered presentations on key functional areas including safety, quality assurance, innovation, adoption of new technologies, process improvements, business development initiatives, competitive bidding activities, financial management, human resource management, and organizational transformation through the use of Artificial Intelligence.

Senior RVNL officials present on the occasion included Smt. Anupam Ban, Director (Personnel); Shri M.P. Singh, Director (Operations); Shri Amit Tandon, Director (Projects); and Shri Mukesh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, among others.
