Amrita and Rajya Rani Express Trains Will be Upgraded with LHB Coaches Enhancing Safety and Passenger Comfort

The following train services will be upgraded from ICF Coaches to Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches to provide passengers with an enhanced travel experience, with improved safety features and greater riding comfort.

1) Train Nos. 16344/16343 Rameswaram–Thiruvananthapuram Central–Rameswaram Amritha Express will be operated with LHB coaches from Rameswaram with effect from January 1, 2027, and from Thiruvananthapuram Central with effect from January 2, 2027. The revised composition will comprise One: AC First Class, One: AC 2-Tier, Four: AC 3-Tier, Ten: Sleeper, Four: Second Class General, One: Divyangjan-friendly Second Class and One: Luggage-cum-Brake Van Coach

2) Train Nos. 16349/16350 Thiruvananthapuram North–Nilambur Road–Thiruvananthapuram North Rajya Rani Express will run with LHB coaches from Thiruvananthapuram North with effect from December 31, 2026, and from Nilambur Road with effect from January 1, 2027. 

Revised Coach Composition: One: AC 2-Tier, Two: AC 3-Tier, Six: Sleeper, Four: General Second Class, One: Divyangjan-friendly Second Class and One: Luggage-cum-Brake Van Coaches.
