Gurugram : India’s healthcare technology landscape has taken a significant step forward with the official launch of MediElaj, an AI-powered healthcare app and smart diagnostic kiosk and mobile app platform developed by MedPredict Pvt. Ltd. The company has raised approximately USD 100,000 from friends and family. In parallel, the founders have also bootstrapped and invested nearly USD 500,000 into building the company’s technology platform, AI healthcare ecosystem, kiosk infrastructure, and operational capabilities.
MediElaj was founded with the objective of decentralising access to primary healthcare. The company is building a connected healthcare ecosystem that utilises smart healthcare kiosk and mobile app to deliver at-home, AI-assisted health screenings and non-invasive health measurements, provide conversational assistance for healthcare issues, and offer access to digital health records.
The funds have enabled product development, kiosk prototyping, integrating healthcare devices and sensors, cloud architecture and software development, preparation for pilot deployments, and the building of a research and operational foundation for scalable growth. MediElaj’s kiosks combine AI-assisted health screening, non-invasive diagnostics, conversational healthcare guidance, and digital health records, bringing intelligent healthcare support directly to communities in smaller towns and rural regions, without requiring patients to travel to urban centres.
Elated on this occasion, Mr. Debjit Patra, Founder & Chairman, remarked, “We envision MediElaj becoming one of Bharat’s and the world’s leading AI-enabled healthcare accessibility platforms focused on preventive, affordable, and scalable healthcare delivery. Our mission is to build a connected healthcare ecosystem that brings intelligent healthcare support closer to millions of people across Tier 2, Tier 3, rural, and underserved regions of India.”
The company is now preparing to build its manufacturing capabilities for scalable production, establish nationwide deployment capacity, advance its AI technologies and cybersecurity infrastructure, and develop partnerships to form a healthcare ecosystem that reaches Tier 2, Tier 3, rural, and underserved markets.
