Midwest Energy Inaugurates 1.2 GWh Giga Watt Scale Manufacturing Facility for Battery Energy Storage Systems
Integrated Cell-to-Container Production Strengthens India’s Advanced Energy Storage Manufacturing Capabilities
Bengaluru: Midwest Energy, the technology and clean energy arm of the Midwest Business House, has announced the commencement of commercial production at its state-of-the-art 1.2 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.
The facility features fully integrated Cell-to-Container manufacturing capabilities, enabling end-to-end production of battery modules, trays, racks, and fully integrated containerised systems. These solutions are designed to serve commercial, industrial, renewable energy, and utility-scale applications.
The commissioning of this facility represents a significant milestone in Midwest Energy’s expansion, arriving at a time when battery storage has become an essential component of modern power infrastructure. As renewable energy deployment accelerates across India and grid flexibility gains importance, Battery Energy Storage Systems are set to play a critical role in ensuring reliable power supply, seamless renewable integration, and greater energy resilience.

Midwest Energy plans to supply advanced BESS solutions to both domestic and international markets while expanding its portfolio of customised energy storage solutions to meet diverse customer needs. The facility is designed for scalable manufacturing, high product reliability, and globally benchmarked quality standards.
