Bengaluru : This Onam, Shangri-La Bengaluru invites guests to experience the warmth and traditions of Kerala through special culinary offerings at Ssaffron and b Café on 26 August. Bringing the spirit of Onam to the heart of Bengaluru, the celebrations offer two distinct ways to experience the festival, from an elaborate traditional Sadya at Ssaffron to a selection of Onam specialities served as part of the buffet at b Café.
At Ssaffron, the Onam Sadya Festival Menu is served on a traditional banana leaf, inspired by the experience of stepping into a Kerala home during the festive season. The abundant feast follows the timeless format of a traditional Sadya, bringing together classic preparations including Inji Puli, Kadugu Manga, Avial, Kootu Curry, Erissery, Olan, Varutharacha Sambar, Kerala Rasam, Kadala Curry and Parippu with Ghee, accompanied by Kerala Matta Rice, Pappadam and Sambaram.
The feast concludes with a selection of traditional desserts including Palada Pradhaman, Parippu Pradhaman, Kozhikode Halwa and Elaichi Banana, offering a sweet finish to a meal rooted in Kerala’s culinary heritage.
At b Café, the Indian section of the buffet lunch on 26 August will feature a selection of Onam Sadhya specialities, allowing guests to enjoy familiar festive flavours alongside the restaurant’s wider buffet offering.
