De Neers Appoints Automotive Veteran Sudhir Malhotra as Strategic Advisor – Automotive & Future Mobility
New Delhi: De Neers, one of India’s leading manufacturers of professional hand tools and insulated tools, has appointed Sudhir Malhotra as Strategic Advisor – Automotive & Future Mobility.
The appointment reflects De Neers’ strategic focus on deepening its presence in the automotive and future mobility sector, a key growth area alongside its established industrial and professional tool businesses. Automotive is currently one of the company’s fastest-growing verticals, with plans to achieve strong double-digit growth over the next two to three years through deeper engagement with OEMs and dealer networks.
Sudhir brings over three decades of experience in the automotive industry, with expertise spanning workshop operations, aftersales, dealer network development, sales, marketing and business leadership. His deep understanding of OEM requirements, dealer ecosystems and aftersales operations will help De Neers align its tooling solutions with the evolving needs of the mobility industry.
As the industry transitions towards electric and hybrid vehicles, precision tooling is becoming increasingly critical for safety and reliability, particularly in high-voltage systems and electrical applications. De Neers already offers a range of insulated, non-sparking and anti-magnetic tools for these environments and plans to further strengthen this portfolio to meet emerging workshop and aftersales requirements.
Neeraj Agarwal, Managing Director, De Neers, said: “De Neers has built its reputation on the quality and reliability of its products. As mobility evolves, we want that same rigour applied to how we understand our customers and industry partners. Sudhir’s experience across the automotive ecosystem will sharpen our engagement with OEMs and dealers as we grow our presence in this space.”

Sudhir Malhotra said: “Every major technology transition reinforces one lesson: the ecosystem that supports the technology must evolve alongside it. Quality tools are an essential part of that ecosystem, enabling safety, reliability and service excellence. I look forward to working with the De Neers team to strengthen its role in the future mobility landscape.”
In his advisory role, Sudhir will work closely with De Neers’ leadership to enhance OEM and dealer engagement, guide product strategy in line with evolving vehicle technologies, and support the company’s roadmap for EV-specific tooling solutions.
