YAZU Unveils Its Wine Menu: A Curated Selection of Pours and Food Pairings

Andheri: A memorable meal is about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about the flavours that linger, the mood at the table, and finding that one drink that somehow makes everything come together. At YAZU, the new wine menu brings a fresh dimension to the dining experience, with a considered selection of wines and sake chosen to complement the restaurant’s Pan-Asian flavours. From lighter, refreshing pours to richer, more indulgent choices, there’s plenty to discover, and some pairings that might just surprise you

The Menu Features Yellow Tail Pink Moscato Rosé is a particularly easy match for the Kiwi & Pinenut Dumpling. The tartness of kiwi works well with the wine’s gentle fruitiness, while the pine nut adds a softer, richer note. With the Yuzu Raspberry Sorbet, the pairing takes on a brighter character, with the sweetness of the Moscato meeting the tang of raspberry and the citrusy lift of yuzu.

For white wine, Pasqua Pinot Grigio works beautifully with the Prawn Har Gow. Its freshness keeps the pairing light and lets the natural sweetness of the prawn come through. The Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial takes things in a more celebratory direction with the Lobster & Scallop Dumpling, where the bubbles and freshness help cut through the richness of the seafood.

The reds bring a little more weight. Saldo Zinfandel has enough ripe fruit and body to sit comfortably alongside the New Zealand Lamb Chop, balancing the savoury richness of the meat. With the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, La Vieille Ferme Rouge works with both sides of the dish, the sweetness of the glaze and the heat underneath it, without overpowering either.

The Shoyu Ramen Bowl finds its match outside the world of wine. Kome Ichizu Junmai has a clean, rounded quality that sits naturally with the dark savouriness of the broth. It refreshes the palate between bites while letting the umami of the ramen stay right where it should.

With its new wine menu, YAZU adds another dimension to its dining experience, bringing together its signature Pan-Asian flavours with pours that complement the food. It’s an invitation to settle in, explore the menu and experience some familiar YAZU favourites in a new way.
