Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today released the book Historical Place Names of Madhya Pradesh at his residence. A copy of the book was presented to Chief Minister Chouhan by M.M. Upadhyay, office bearer of INTACH institute. Chief Minister Chouhan appreciated the research conducted on how cities and villages got their names and publication of facts in the form of a book.
The book is a compilation of information on the naming of about 1000 places of Madhya Pradesh. It has been published by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage). The book was edited by historian R. K. Sharma, Jabalpur and Dr. Shambhu Dayal Guru, Bhopal.
