Madhya Pradesh first in MNREGA implementation in India

Bhopal: Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that empowerment of women is our top priority. More and more women should be linked with self-help groups in the state and self-help groups should be empowered financially through various activities. It is a matter of happiness that Madhya Pradesh has ranked first in India in terms of presentation and acceptance of cases on the National Rural Livelihood Mission Bank Linkage Portal. Out of 82 thousand 342 cases of women self-help groups presented in Madhya Pradesh, 32 thousand 62 cases of SHGs have been approved.

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh has ranked first in India in the implementation of MNREGA. In Madhya Pradesh, 20 lakh 17 thousand 56 (17.59%) labourers are being employed daily out of 01 crore 14 lakh 66 thousand labourers active in 22108 (97%) gram panchayats out of 22810 gram panchyayats under MNREGA so far this year, which is the highest in India. Chief Minister  Chouhan congratulated the Panchayat and Rural Development Department for this achievement.

Madhya Pradesh first in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh has been the first to fulfill the target given in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Nearly 1010 km road was constructed against the target of 2550 km length of road construction in the state which is 39.62 percent of the target and is the highest in India.

Maximum road construction from plastic waste

Maximum 7.5 thousand km long roads were constructed from plastic waste under Green Technology by Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority. Madhya Pradesh has been the first in India in this work. Madhya Pradesh has also been the first in payment made for the works through e-Marg portal. Payment of 2166 out of 2370 works of Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Authority was started through the portal.

Second in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Good work has been done in Madhya Pradesh under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in which Madhya Pradesh ranks second in the country. As many as 23 lakh 63 thousand 777 Pradhan Mantri Awas have been sanctioned in the state, out of which 17 lakh 59 thousand 675 houses have been completed.

More Samras Panchayats needed

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that efforts should be made to have maximum Samras Panchayats in the state for which a campaign should be conducted. In this, the sarpanch is elected unopposed, due to which the amount spent for election is spent for the development of the village. The government also provides additional funds to Samaras Panchayats for development.

Deendayal Antyodaya Committees should be activated

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that Deendayal Antyodaya committees should be activated at the gram panchayat level to monitor the development works of the gram panchayats. Social workers and non-political persons should be included in this work.

System of working of CEO Janpad should be improved

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that system of working of CEO Janpad Panchayat should be improved. Those giving good performance must be encouraged.

Work of making barren land fertile must be taken

Chief Minister  Chouhan directed that the works of making barren lands fertile under MNREGA should be taken on priority. Farm-road schemes must be given momentum.

Work provided to 86 lakh 37 thousand labourers

So far, 86 lakh 37 thousand labourers have been provided employment under the MNREGA scheme in the state so far this year, out of which 36 lakh 87 thousand are women. Around 20 lakh workers are being employed every day in the works, which is the highest in India.

Construction of water channel for tail end farmers

“Water Course Channel” is being constructed to provide water for irrigation to the tail end farmers in Irrigation Project Command Area under MNREGA in the state. Chief Minister  Chouhan directed to give priority to this work. The Chief Minister also praised the work of building self-help group Sangh Bhavan. He told to give priority to the Shantidham development work also.

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister  Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development,  Ram Khelevan Patel, Chief Secretary  Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Department  Manoj vastava were also present in the meeting.
