Madhya Pradesh will be made an example by giving employment to educated youths: Chief Minister Shri Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that just as good work has been done for the welfare of street vendors in the state under PM Swanidhi Yojana, similarly Madhya Pradesh can present an example by connecting educated youths with various employment schemes. For this, a new scheme should be made which may work to realise the entrepreneurial spirit of the educated youth along with being a better option than the government jobs. It will also be beneficial for the economy. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was discussing the schemes of the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Mantralaya today.

There is no dearth of talent among the youths, their confidence is to be awakened

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that there is no dearth of talent among educated youths. They have to be saved from despair by instilling hope and faith in their mind. Government jobs are not the only solution. Youths will move on a new path through loans and grants for setting up small and micro units. For this, focus on the task by setting goals. At present, the benefits of various employment schemes are taken by the very rich or established people and the real needy are relatively left behind. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a target should be set to benefit 2 thousand youths in each of the district. This will encourage young entrepreneurs to come forward. Every year the task of connecting about one lakh youths with employment through various projects will become easier. The youths who want to set up their business or small scale industries will also be freed from the compulsion of taking loans from moneylenders. The possibilities of work in the service sector, MSME sector can be realised.

Madhya Pradesh will move ahead in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has given a call to benefit the youths under Mudra Yojana. At present, an amount of Rs 8 thousand 905 crore has been provided to more than 14 lakh people of the state. The beneficiary gets interest subsidy assistance in three categories Shishu, Kishor and Tarun. Under the scheme, interest subsidy is given on loan amounting to Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. 10 lakh. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told the need to intensify efforts with the coordination of banks to speed up the implementation of this scheme in the state. Along with this, joint efforts should be made for the welfare of street vendors through PM Swanidhi Yojana, providing funds to self-help groups and for benefitting more and more educated youth through the new scheme.

5 lakh youths have got the benefit of self-employment schemes in the state

It was informed in the meeting that about 5 lakh youths have been benefitted under self-employment and entrepreneur scheme in the state. 3.25 lakh youths have benefitted from the Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana alone. It was informed that preparations are being made for a one-month outreach programme from October 15 regarding the Mudra scheme. Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Om Prakash Sakhlecha attended the meeting virtually. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and officers were present.
