Bhopal:  Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that only the second dose of vaccine is the guarantee of safety to prevent corona. Corona is not over yet, so people need to be alert to avoid it. Vaccination is the only effective way to prevent it. Those who have received the first dose of the vaccine must certainly get the second dose. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was holding a virtual review of Covid control and vaccination with the officers in-charge of the district from residence.

Make an effective action plan of the district

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the officer-in-charge should prepare an effective action plan for protection from corona and vaccination. Work seriously to ensure that everyone gets the second dose of the vaccine. Prepare an action plan in three days according to the circumstances of your district in coordination with the district collector. After reviewing this action plan, the target of vaccination will be fixed.

Second dose will be administered by running a mega campaign

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a second dose of vaccine would be administered by running a mega campaign for the control of Covid. Just as everyone has worked actively for the first dose, in the same way, work very seriously for the second dose. Do your best to increase the percentage of the second dose of the vaccine. At present, 30 percent of the people in the state have received the second dose, which is slightly higher than the country’s average of 29 percent. It should be our endeavour that all the people who have taken the first dose should get the second dose. Also try to bridge the gap between the first and second doses of the vaccine.

Also increase the percentage of the first dose

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that 89 percent people in the state have received the first dose of the vaccine. We are the country’s leader in administering the first dose, which is higher than the country’s average of 73 percent. Try increasing the percentage of the first dose as well and bring it up to 90 percent.

Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman, Managing Director National Health Mission Smt. Priyanka Das, Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade, Additional Secretary to Chief Minister Smt. Chhavi Bhardwaj and other officers were present.
