In Uttar Pradesh, police has arrested District commandant of Lucknow KS Pandey in Home guards salary scam case. An FIR has been lodged in Gomati nagar police station of Lucknow in this regard.
Our correspondent reports that this is 6th arrest in last 24 hours in the home guards salary scam in state. 5 senior officers were arrested yesterday in Gautam Buddh nagar. All accused have been charged of forging signature of home guards and releasing salary in the name of giving them duty.
After the discrepancies came into light, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered strict action against the culprits. Advisor of information department, Shalabh Mani Tripathi told AIR that Arrests are result of state government policy of zero tolerance against corruption. He said, in last 15 days more than 12 persons accused of corruption in different high profile cases have been send behind bars including Kingpin of UPPCL Fund scam AP Mishra.
