MANGALDAI : : ‘If one has a strong will power with blessings from parents and elders nothing is impossible to achieve’ . This has been proved time and again by Rup Sikha Nath, a promising student of Mangaldai who has been suffering from a severe neurological disorder since her birth thereby forcing her to dream only lying on the bed.

The youngest daughter of Kamaleswar Nath and Hemanti Nath- both serving as Sub Inspector in Special Branch of Assam Police and a resident of Jyoti Nagar here, Rup Sikha was in the lime light for her outstanding performances in HSLC and HSSLC final examinations and expectedly she is yet again in the limelight for her well deserve performance in the Degree final examination under Gauhati University and now securing an admission in the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU ) , New Delhi Rup Sikha secured 81.50 percent .in this year’s BA final examination with major in Political Science appearing from Mangaldai college . Thanks to her parents and her elder sister Parismita for their untiring support and cooperation. Rup Sikha added one more feather to her cap when she managed a seat in the JNU through a national level eligibility test news of which came to her only on November 2 last.. Still uncertainties were not over for this young meritorious student as without the uninterrupted support from a very close family member like her mother, the dream of pursuing Post Graduation in New Delhi is never going to be fulfilled . But how it will be possible for her govt service mother to get such a long leave ! However ‘fortune favors the brave ‘ and this famous ‘quote’ also proved true in the case of this brave soldier and there came a divine helping hand in the form of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), SB Hiren Chandra Nath who has assured all possible help in pursuing her higher studies in JNU . This has been assured by ADGP Nath over phone while talking to media here . This made Rup Sikha jubilant as she now prepares to leave for Delhi on November 13 next . The dream of Rup Sikha has further fattened which includes studying in Cambridge and cracking UPSC as well .
