“ABSU for the Cabinet resolution by the State government and making this day a historic day in the history of the Bodos, would like to extend the heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma Cabinet Minister and Shri Ranjit Das President, Assam BJP, for their relentless contribution towards the development and protection of the identity and language of the Bodos in the State and implementing step by step the clauses of the BTR Accord, it read.
The student leader also said that the ABSU is hopeful the every clauses of the BTR Accord will be implemented in letter and spirit by the government of India and Assam in days to come for the interest of the every community and people of the Bodoland Territorial Region and explore better scope for the development and peace in the region.
