GUWAHATI :As the state is reeling under flood, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar donated Rs. 1 crore towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for flood relief. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal acknowledging the generosity of the popular actor, thanked him. He also said that the actor has always been a friend of the people of Assam and his help would go a long way in easing the ordeal of the people facing the flood. It may be noted that last year also the Bollywood actor donated Rs. 2 crores towards flood relief, Rs. 1 crore to CM’s Relief Fund and Rs. 1 crore for the safety of the wild animals of the Kaziranga National Park.
Meanwhile, Actor Akshay Kumar donated Rs 25 crore to the PM Cars Fund in March this year to help the country overcome the Kovid-19 crisis. Let us tell you that Akshay has once again come forward to help the people of the country. This time he has to help Assam financially during floods.
