Almond VIRTEX creates history with India International Science Festival; Wins five Guinness World Records for one event
New Delhi: Almond Virtex, one of India’s leading virtual event platforms, executed the prestigious 6th edition of India International Science Fair (IISF) from 22nd-25th December 2020, for the Ministry of Science & Technology. Happening virtually for the first time, the event was executed in partnership with Graphisads. The event engaged more than one lakh people from over 82 countries and went on to win five Guinness World Records, one being the largest attendance of 100k people for a virtual science conference in one week.
Conceptualized by teams at Almond Virtex & Graphisads, the whole event was planned and executed in just two weeks with a 40 member core team and 50+ freelancers comprising of coders, web-developers, designers, show-runners and client liaison team – all stationed in a war-room setup within the ministry office.
Inaugurated by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, on 22nd December, 2020, the theme of IISF 2020 was – Science For Self-Reliant India & Global Welfare. The event also had attendance of prominent International & Indian delegates including Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Health & Family Welfare; Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, Secretary DSIR and DG, CSIR and other dignitaries who spoke on the varied dimensions of science. The four-day virtual summit received a stirring response and resonated across audience demographics. More than 400 sessions were conducted through 41 events, and more than 1000 international delegates from 82 countries covering 70% of the globe participated in the event.

The team at Almond Virtex also conducted technical orientations with the speakers, ministry staff and other stakeholders to ensure seamless functioning of the event from both backend and viewer’s experience.
