Alumil India Delivers High Performance Façade Solutions For Sunteck Pinnacle, A Landmark Mixed-Use Development In Mumbai
Navi Mumbai : Alumil India, the fully-owned Indian subsidiary of Alumil Group, has successfully delivered advanced façade solutions for Sunteck Pinnacle, a premium mixed-use development in the city designed by SSA Architects. The project stands as a testament to contemporary urban planning, combining retail and office spaces within a thoughtfully crafted architectural framework. Spread across approximately 2,00,000 sq. ft., Sunteck Pinnacle is conceptualised as part of a larger master planned development aimed at creating a self-sustained urban neighbourhood. With a retail convenience store at the base and office spaces above, the project reflects the growing trend of polycentric urban development, where essential amenities are integrated within walking distance, enhancing convenience and quality of life.
Alumil was closely involved in the project from the design development stage through to execution, delivering a façade system that combines aesthetic finesse with high-performance engineering. It designed a façade that incorporates unitized curtain wall systems with exceptionally slender mullions that are 140 mm depth, ensuring a refined visual language without compromising structural integrity. A key highlight of the project is the integration of dual sash outward opening side hung windows within the unitized curtain wall system, designed to meet fire safety requirements, an engineering challenge that demands precision and advanced technical expertise.

Conceived as a sculptural yet understated addition to Mumbai’s skyline, Sunteck Pinnacle is designed for contextual, sustainable and human-centric spaces. The building’s façade is a study in proportion and materiality, solid clad base anchors the structure, from which rises an elegant tower articulated with Alumil India’s slim-profile aluminium systems. The envelope features carefully proportioned panes with high-quality glazing that captures and reflects daylight, creating a dynamic appearance as the sun moves across the sky.
The façade system is further enhanced with EPDM gaskets and a triple barrier sealing system, ensuring superior performance in terms of watertightness, airtightness, acoustic insulation and resistance to high wind loads, critical for high-rise structures in a coastal city like Mumbai. With a strong emphasis on occupant comfort and sustainability, the design achieves near total daylight penetration across indoor spaces, significantly reducing dependence on artificial lighting while enhancing the overall user experience.
