Kokrajhar: Security forces belonging to SSB Gossaigaon and Assam Police recovered huge quantity of Arms and Explosive which was supposed to be delivered to newly formed NLFB group from Ripu Reserve Forest under Kachugaon police station in Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district today.
On the basis of specific input regarding a huge quantity of Arms & Explosive which was supposed to be delivered to newly formed NLFB group an intensive joint jungle search operation was launched by 31st Bn SSB Gossaigaon (Assam) and Assam Police under command of L. Nipathoi Singh, Dy. Commandant 31st Bn SSB Gossaigaon and Sourav Gupta SDPO Gossaigaon in general area of Ripu Reserve Forest since last evening. In this sequence this morning on Ride No. 02 near Nobinagar village of Ripu Reserve Forest under Kachugaon police station in kokrajhar district the operation the party seized huge cache of Arms & Explosive.
The recovered includes 87 Gelentine Stick, 200 Detonator Non Electric, 2 country Made Rifle, 3 nos of 9 mm Pistol magazine, 10 nos of 5.56 mm Ball ammunitions, one Chinese Grenade, 2 nos of Safety Fuse wire, 1 bundle Electric Wire, 4 nos of Battery (12 –Volt), 2 nos Pressure Cooker, 4 nos of Bicycles, 2 nos of Axe, etc.
No one were however arrested in this connection.
