47A Khotachiwadi’s next presentation is called Tara. Ka-Sha presents this work; her practice centers on reconstruction, experimentation and mindful making, aiming to constantly find new possibilities in what already exists.
At the core of the showcase is Heart to Haat, Ka-Sha’s initiative born as a response to production waste. It explores how discarded, pre-loved, and existing materials can be given another life—reconstructing textile remnants, pre-loved garments, and unexpected everyday materials like beads, buttons and wires into new objects, accessories, and garments.
Through TARA, Ka-Sha brings this unique perspective to the entire lifecycle of materials, examining the journey from material to object, old to new, and seeing to participating.
The show is also a participatory experience. Visitors enter through an ever evolving installation featuring a dedicated Marker’s Table that brings the making process into the space. Using fabrics, beads, buttons, and remnants, participants can reimagine or reinterpret items, creating a brooch, a bracelet, a garment or simply experimenting without a finished outcome or a prescribed object.
The show opens on 4th October, is free for viewing and open to all.
