Mangaldai :Aryabhatta Science Centre , Darrang , a district level body formed under Assam Science, Technology and Environment Council to promote scientific temperament among the school children organized a district level contest 
on science model exhibition , drawing and extempore speech among the students at ‘Zila Sikshak Bhawan’, Mangaldai on Wednesday . Altogether fifteen contestants in each of the event who had earlier been selected from competitions at five different education blocks have participated in the competition . Later all the winners in the respective events were awarded with prizes and certificates . Earlier the day long competition was ceremonially inaugurated in a public function which was attended by several distinguished guests including District Elementary Education Officer , Darrang , Dr Juwaheera Tabassom , Associate Professor of Mangaldai College Dr Kamal Bora, prominent academician Mahendra Mohan Nath and District Coordinator of Aryabhatta Science Centre, Darrang Trailokya Mohan Goswami among others. In their speeches the speakers dwelt at length about the importance of developing scientific temperament from the childhood and different techniques to grow such positive attitudes .
