Guwahathi: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal asserted that the sealing of Indo- Bangladesh border will be completed soon. Talking to AIR correspondent, Mr. Sonowal said that the Centre has adopted smart technology to seal the porous border. He hoped that with the sealing of the border, the issue of illegal migration from Bangladesh will be solved.
The Chief Minister said that Assam has made tremendous progress during the last 5 years. He said Guwahati has emerged as the aviation hub of the region. Mr. Sonowal mentioned that almost all militant groups in the state have either laid down their arms or are in the process of peace talks , due to which development activities got momentum. He said the North East has emerged as sunrise area of economic activities. Mr. Sonowal added that the Prime Minister has made Assamese Gamucha a household name in the country.
