Guwahati: Assam government has appointed Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Lavlina Borgohen has been appointed as Assam Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over the appointment letter to Lovleena Borgohen at a function at the State Secretariat Janata Bhawan. Assam Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta and Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua were present on the occasion. When Lovleena Borgohen returned to the country after winning the bronze medal, the State Government had presented Rs 1 crore as a gift to Borgohen and offered the Post of DSP.
