Samail (Oman):  Little did 2-year-old Ali Hassan Zahir Salim Al Qarwashi from Samail, Oman, know that a special visitor is one among the people who changed his life forever. Farhaan Yasin, Vice President of Aster India, paid a heartfelt visit to Ali’s house, marking the end of a journey that brought hope, healing, and a new lease on life.

Two months back when Ali arrived at Aster Medcity with an early relapsed medullary B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a diagnosis that presented a formidable challenge, hope was distant. But the expert medical team at Kochi Aster Medcity, led by Dr. Ramaswamy, N. V, Hemato Oncologist, embarked on a comprehensive treatment plan and decided to bring back smiles and relief to the family.

In a remarkable turn of fate, Ali’s own sister emerged as the matched sibling donor for a crucial transplant. The family, steadfast in their support, spent a total of 50 days at Aster Medcity. The journey was arduous, but the expertise of the medical team resulted in a stable, asymptomatic patient ready to return home.

“Ali’s journey, from the diagnosis to recovery, stands as beacon of inspiration, reminding us that compassion and expertise can indeed gift a life back. We are happy that Aster Medcity has once again created a story of resilience beyond borders” said Farhaan Yasin, Aster India, Vice President.

On the 27th of September, Ali left Kochi for Oman. The costs associated with his treatment and stay were covered by the Oman Health Attaché.
