Kochi: Aster Medcity celebrated Teachers Day by honouring teachers at Chavara Special School, Koonammavu. Sister Merin Francis from the school received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Aster Medcity. Certificates of Appreciation were also handed over to 53 teachers of Chavara Special School.
Aster Mentors Card with special concessions for teachers were also launched and distributed by Ramasubramaniam Business Head, Aster Medcity. More Mentors card will be distributed to all teachers in the district in the coming days.
“Special school teachers require more time, patience and effort. The role they play in bringing special children to the forefront of society cannot be overlooked under any circumstances. We are extremely happy that we could provide better employment to people with disabilities in various institutions of Aster DM Healthcare. It’s great to know that many lives were immensely impacted by our actions. By doing this we fulfil our duty to society,” says Dr. T. R. John, Director of Medical Affairs- Aster Medcity inaugurating the function.
Various art performances like Chendamelam and Thiruvathirakkali were also staged as part of the program.
