Ayush Minister Sonowal inaugurates projects to strengthen infra at National Institute of Ayurveda

 GUWAHATI : Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today inaugurated several projects with an aim towards strengthening the infrastructure of the National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur. The Union Minister inaugurated the new Canteen, Panchakarma Bhawan, Drug Research & Development Unit, Yoga Hall, Pharmacy, Committee Room & Advance Simulation Laboratory at the premier institute in presence of Union Ayush MoS Dr Mahendra Munjpara and Jaipur City MP Shri Ramchandra Bohra.

During the visit, the Union Minister interacted with students, researchers, experts and faculties and urged all to take serious responsibility in strengthening the Ayush sector for the welfare of human society. Since its inception in 1976, the National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur has played an outstanding role in providing education, training, research and patient care. It currently has 14 courses for post graduate education as well as regular fellowship programmes for PhDs. In addition, courses with undergraduate courses (BAMS), AYUSH nursing and pharmacy diplomas and various other certificates are also available.
