Bhopal: World’s Largest Service Organization, Lions Clubs International Recognizes Bhopal Tamil Sangam for Social and cultural service. Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. Our 1.4 million members are serving locally and globally to help take on some of the biggest challenges facing humanity.
M Agarchand, Lion Club International, Chairperson , Vriddhachalam, Tamil Nadu during a special ceremony stated, “I am honored to present this award to Bhopal Tamil Sangam on behalf of the World’s Largest Service Organization. We are proud to support Bhopal Tamil Sangam and their important socio humanitarian efforts.”
He added ” Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. More than 1.4 million members in over 48,000 clubs are serving in 200 countries and geographic areas around the globe. Since 1917, Lions have strengthened local communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects and can extend our service impact through the generous support of our Lions Clubs International Foundation”.
S Arul, President, Lions Club ,Vriddhachalam, Tamil Nadu ” At Lions Club International We are focused on supporting vision, youth, diabetes, the environment, childhood cancer, hunger, humanitarian and disaster relief, to help address
some of the biggest challenges facing humanity”.
J Chandrasekaran, A P Muthu Naraayanan and R Natesan , Lions Club , Vriddhachalam, Tamil Nadu, were also present on the occasion along with all executive members of Bhopal Tamil Sangam.
P Raju, President of Bhopal Tamil Sangam said “I am truly honored to receive the Lions Clubs International recognition,” It is important that we set an example for our communities and the world by social activities and helping others.” As the world’s largest service organization, putting kindness into action is what Lions do best. Even during difficult times, Lions all around the world have done their best to safely serve and uplift communities.
A Swami Durai , General Secretary of Bhopal Tamil Sangam said that ” An incredible feeling for everyone involved”. Our Bhopal Tamil communities members are united across Madhya Pradesh to support and strengthen everyone. Backed with the vision perceived by its pioneer members and determination of its leaders, during this short span of its existence, the breadth and width of the state witnesses various activities of Bhopal Tamil Sangam. Today numerous enrolled registered associations and individual members march forward together with the single objective of contributing something positively for the society and nation under the aegis of Bhopal Tamil Sangam”.
Apart from involvement in various philanthropic activities, Bhopal Tamil Sangam is dedicated for the enrichment of Tamil language, culture, arts, literature and age old traditions of Tamil Nadu. While thriving for achieving its objectives, Bhopal Tamil Sangam also interlocks the hands and hearts of Tamilians residing at different parts of the state with a commitment to actively contribute for Nation building.
