BIG Ganga celebrated SiyaRam Ki Chhath with celebrities

BIG Ganga, a channel that is rejoicing in the fervour of Chhath, via its annual musical event ‘Jai Chhath Mai’, with much joy and fervour, uplifted the mood of the festival Chhath for its viewers. Starting from 20th November from 5-7pm on BIG Ganga, it had popular Bhojpuri duo Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ and Akshara Singh, entertaining the audience in the most amazing manner. The event not only added in the celebrations of Chhath but further nurtured a bond with its audience and fans by showcasing the origins of this ritual and offering them genuine happiness through Divine Chhath.

Held amidst much grandeur and pomp, the event featured an abundance of celebrations along with the fervour of the SiyaRam celebrations. The opening act by the duo, along with Arvind Akela Kallu, further offered a perfect mix of SiyaRam Bhakti along with seeking Chhathi Maiya’s blessing. Adding to the spectacular display, the festive offering also saw Nirahua taking viewers through the mythological journey behind the popular festival of Chhath as the narrator of the event. The event, having a SiyaRam celebration moment shared by reel-life Ram-Sita jodi Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhalia who came together to celebrate Chhath in Bhojpuri style for the very first time, also saw celebrities like Tripti Sakya, Arvind Akela Kallu, Mamta Raut, Mohan Rathore amongst others to ring in the festivities and raise the bar of the celebrations.

In a first for Bhojpuri entertainment and its ardent viewers across the region, SiyaRam Ki Chhath bring forth the interesting mythological tale narrated by Lord Surya where Siya performed Chatth pooja so that she could rid Lord Ram of Brahmdosh (the act of killing a high-class Brahman, in this case Raavan) and how she was almost told that it is impossible to please Chathi Maiyya resulting in her executing/conduct a rigorous penance Kathin Tap.
