A 2020 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film, written and directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti, produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations starring Nani, Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari along with Vennela Kishore and Tanikella Bharani in supporting roles. The film revolves around the showdown between a celebrated cop and a serial killer who challenges the former to nab him, resulting in consequences laced with heavy-duty action, playful romance and dark humour.
Soorarai Pottru – The film was partly inspired by events from the life of Simply Fly Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath. The film tells the story of Nedumaaran Rajangam known to his friends as Maara, a son of a teacher, who sets out to make the common man fly and takes on a the most capital intensive industry in the world with the help of his friends, family and sheer will power. This tale is rarest of its kind, has a lot of inspirations for intake. This drama film is directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga. The story was conceptualised and written by Kongara and starred Suriya, Paresh Rawal, and Aparna Balamurali alongside Urvashi, Mohan Babu, and Karunas amongst others in supporting roles.
Nishabdham – A 2020 thriller film directed by Hemant Madhukar and co-produced by Kona Venkat and T. G. Vishwa Prasad starring Madhavan, Anushka Shetty, Michael Madsen and Anjali in the lead roles. The plot revolves around a world famous cello player who is murdered and crucified in a Seattle Villa that has a reputation for being haunted. His friends and family try to figure out if he was really killed by a supernatural being or if he was assassinated by someone he knows. His dumb and deaf wife and a police detective are pinned against each other as they discover the victims’ dark past. Although the film was intended to have no dialogues, it was later shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, with the latter version titled Nishabdham. The film is power packed with Ecstatic screenplay, spellbound plot and a perfect cast that make it a definite watch!
Gatham – This deceptively engaging thriller film is directed by Kiran Reddy and stars Bhargava Poludasu, Rakesh Galebhe, and Poojitha Kuraparthi. It is an unofficial remake of 2017 South Korean mystery thriller film Forgotten. It has been selected in the Indian Panaroma of feature films 2020 and will be screened at International film festival of India. The film is endlessly filled with startling twists when Rishi and his girlfriend Adithi are on their way to visit Rishi’s father and their car breaks down and a stranger offers them a stay at their house. The plot is about Vikram, a 30 year old cop who is on a mission to solve the case of a mysteriously disappearing girl in Hyderabad while simultaneously battling with his own traumatic past.
Middle Class Melodies – Lighten your mood and take a break from your everyday stresses with this comedy drama film. It is directed by debutante Vinod Anantoju, who wrote it with Janardhan Pasumarthi and stars Anand Devarakonda and Varsha Bollamma as leads. The story is about a young man who moves to a nearby city to pursue his dream of owning a hotel.
