In Nigeria, four people were killed and several others were kidnapped by terrorists of Boko Haram in an attack on a convoy of Kashim Shettima, the governor of Borno state.
A civilian militia member travelling with the convoy said Boko Haram terrorists staged an ambush near the town of Dikwa, a stronghold of the terrorists.
The attack targeted the tail end of the convoy.
Shettima, who is stepping down as governor was travelling with his potential successor Babagana Umaru. Both escaped unhurt in the attack.
