BondScanner brings access to Bonds and Listed Debt Instruments for Retail Investors in India

Bengaluru : India’s bond market has long remained institution-heavy, with fixed-returns investment opportunities often being limited for retail investors. These barriers have been due to a multitude of factors such as high entry barriers, limited visibility, and complex market structures.

BondScanner, a SEBI-registered Online Bond Platform Provider (OBPP), has officially launched with the aim of simplifying access to corporate bonds, government securities, and listed debt instruments for  retail investors across India.

Operated by Sustvest Broking Pvt. Ltd. (SEBI Registration No. INZ000320834, NSE Member Code 90404), BondScanner enables retail investors to access information on, evaluate and invest in eligible regular-income products through a regulated platform.

The platform has been designed to address one of the biggest challenges in India’s bond ecosystem- the accessibility of information. BondScanner presents bond-related information in a structured and simplified format, allowing investors to better understand key details such as issuer profile, tenure, credit rating, yields, payout schedule, and investment terms and conditions before making investment decisions.

“India’s bond market has historically been built around institutional participation, while retail investors have often found the ecosystem difficult to navigate,” said Nishchay Nath, Founder, BondScanner. “At BondScanner, our mission is to improve accessibility and transparency of bond-related information for individual/retail investors. An investor should be able to access relevant information about the securities available on the platform and evaluate them based on their own requirements and objectives.”

With increasing investor interest in portfolio diversification and fixed-return investment, the platform enters the market at a time when retail participation in bonds and debt instruments is steadily growing in India. BondScanner aims to provide a platform focused on accessibility, transparency and availability of bond-related information.

Nath, who has spent over six years building fixed-return  platforms in India, is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

BondScanner is an Online Bond Platform operated by Sustvest Broking Private Limited (SEBI Registration No. INZ000320834, NSE Member Code 90404), which  operates within the regulatory framework governing Online Bond Platform Providers in India.
