GUWAHATI : Troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier apprehended two Indian smugglers along with 41 Kg Ganja and 353 bottles Phensedy in the bordering areas of village Konamukta, PS- Dinhata, District Coochbehar (West Bengal). These contraband items were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh. On intervening night of 09/10 Sept’ 2020.Acting on tip off, troops of BSF of BOP Narayanganj of 38 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Konamukta PS- Dinhata, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) and apprehended two Indian smugglers along with 41 Kg Ganja and 353 bottles Phensedyl on intervening night of 09-10 September, while the consignments were trying to smuggle from India to Bangladesh.
Apprehended smugglers identified as namely (a) Rahul Alam, (28 Yrs), S/o- Mantu Miya,(b) Azimul Hoque, (29 Yrs), S/O- Altab Hussain both are resident of Vill-Konamukta, PO -R K Payasti, PS-Dinhata, Distt – Coochbehar (West Bengal). Apprehended smugglers.and seized items have been handed over to Police Station Dinhata, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further legal action. Besides above, vigilant Seema Prahari of BSF have also recovered 200 Nos Yaba tablets and 298 bottles Phensedyl in various other operations from bordering areas of Distt Coochbehar (WB), Dhubri & South Salamara (Assam) while the same were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.In different operations, troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier apprehended two Indian smugglers and rescued 229 cattle heads from the bordering areas of District Coochbehar (West Bengal), Dhubri & South Salamat (Assam) On intervening night of 09/10 Sept’ 2020. Acting on tip off, on intervening night of 09/10 Sept’ 2020, troops of BSF BOP Boreralga of 06 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Kaliralga, PS- Kharwabandha, Distt- South Salamara (Assam) and apprehended an Indian cattle smuggler along with two cattle heads, while these were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
Apprehended cattle smuggler is identified as Ramjan Ali (29 Yrs), S/o Hashem Ali, R/o Nawajeshpur, PS- Sukhchar, Distt-South Salamara (Assam). In second operation, Acting on tip off, on intervening night of 09/10 Sept’ 2020, troops of BSF of BOP Sishumara of 06 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Kaliralga, PS- Kharwabandha, Distt- South Salamara (Assam) and apprehended an Indian cattle smuggler along with 03 Nos cattle. BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.
