GUWAHATI : Troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier seized 262 bottles of Phensedyl and 04 Kg Ganja in the bordering areas of District Coochbehar (WB). Acting on tip-off, on 22 Aug’ 2020, troops of Border Out Post Sitai, of 100 Bn BSF, under Guwahati Frontier, seized 262 bottles Phensedyl and 04 Kg Ganja in the general area of Village Kaitarbari, PS-Sitai, Distt- Coochbehar (WB). Seized Phensedyl and Ganja being handed over to Police Station-Sitai for further legal action. BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes. On other hand ,Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force seized 185 Nos Yaba tablets on 21 st Aug 2020, from bordering area of village Khetabarkutti-II, PO- Choudharyhat, PS- Sahebganj, Distt-Coochbehar (WB).
Acting on tip off, on 21 st Aug 2020 at about 1100 hrs, BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Jhikri of 192 Bn conducted a search operation in a house of an Indian national namely Hassan Miya (56 Yrs), S/o Mazibur Miya, Vill Khetabarkutti-II, PO Choudharyhat, PS Sahebganj, Distt-Coochbehar (WB) in presence of Vill Khetabarkutti-II member and recovered 185 nos Yaba Tablets. Further Hassan Miya along with seized item have been handed over to PS Sahebganj for further legal action. Keeping in view the vulnerability of border, heightened activities of the smugglers and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration and are making all out efforts to prevent commission of such crimes.
