GUWAHATI : In two different operations, troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier seized 7000 Kg Ganja and 1064 bottles Phensedy in the bordering areas of village Baskotal and Kaiterbari, District Coochbehar (West Bengal). These contraband items were being smuggling from India to Bangladesh. On intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
Acting on tip off, troops of BSF of BOP Baskotal of 38 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Baskotal PS- Sahebganj, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) and seized 7000 Kg Ganja on 02 Sept’ 2020, while the consignment was trying to smuggling from India to Bangladesh. Seized Ganja has been handed over to Police Station Sahebganj, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further legal action.
In the second operation, acting on tip off, troops of BSF of BOP Sitai of 100 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Kaiterbari, PS- Sitai, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) and seized 64 bottles Phensedyl on 01 Sept’ 2020, while the consignment was trying to smuggling from India to Bangladesh. Seized Phensedyl has been handed over to Police Station Sitai, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further legal action. BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.
