Hyderabad: Capgemini under its Business Resource Group (BRG) Sustainability launched Prithvi Mela in Hyderabad which is one of its kind event to create awareness and engage employees with varied topics around sustainability, both internally and externally. The objective of this unique eco-fair is to inspire and empower all employees to adopt a more environment-friendly lifestyle.
Capgemini plans to take the Prithvi Mela to other cities across the country with new added unique elements.
At Prithvi Mela in Hyderabad, Capgemini showcased sustainability initiatives demonstrated by Capgemini India Corporate Real Estate Services (ICRES) and Centre of Excellence (CoEs) for employees, clients, and partners. Employees explored stalls set up around eco-friendly products by colleagues and external sustainable organizations and NGO partners. There were multiple employee engagement activities aligned with Capgemini’s sustainability agenda like cycling for energy, photography zone, social media interaction zone and many more. Additionally, there were showcase zones where employees displayed upcycled and recycled products along with external organizations exhibiting sustainable fashion, accessories, and handcrafted products. Capgemini also invited local artisans to set up pottery zone, farmers market and nurseries.
Fun being one of our core values at Capgemini, the Mela engaged employees through many interactive games for the audience, fashion show by children of our employees with ‘repurposed clothing’ and storytelling though dance on sustainability as a theme.
