CASAGRAND in Association with Tamil Nadu Athletic Association Honors the Olympians of Tamil Nadu
Chennai: CASAGRAND in association with Tamil Nadu Athletic Association (TNAA) felicitated eight rising athletes from the state who took part in the recent TOKYO OLYMPICS 2020 and World Athletics U20 Championships, NAIROBI 21 as part of its Aspiring Stars program.
Hon’ble minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Thiru Siva. V. Meyyanathann, along with Dr. C Shylendra Babu, Director General of Police, TamilNadu and Mr Siva Sankar Reddy, Director of CASAGRAND, handed over 1 Lakh sponsorships to five budding champions, namely, Arokia Rajiv, Naganathan Pandi, Dhanalakshmi Sekhar, Revathi Veeramani, and Subha Venkatesan who competed in the 4x400m relays, in the TOKYO OLYMPICS 2020 and Sridhar Bharath, who made the state proud by bagging bronze in 4x400M mixed relay in the recent World Athletics U20 Championships, NAIROBI 21. The sponsorship amount of INR 50,000 each was also given to Nagarjunan who participated in the 4x400m relay and M. Donald who participated in the Triple jump in the World Athletics U20 Championship. The funds will be used towards their coaching, equipment, nutrition and other essential needs.
These athletes have represented the state in the biggest sports events and made everyone extremely proud. This event was organized in order to recognize their performance and also provide them support for their future performances. The journey of an athlete is never easy, as it requires a lot of hard work, dedication along with financial support. Hence, it is important to support these rising stars in every phase and recognize their achievements thereby encouraging and motivating them to achieve further. The felicitated athletes expressed their gratitude towards the govt. and CASAGRAND.

Launched in 2015, the CASAGRAND Aspiring Stars initiative empowers emerging players and unexplored sporting talents. Earlier, through this initiative the company had provided sponsorships to many young athletes from different sports such Archery, Tennis, Roller Skating etc. The realty firm now aspires to reach out to more players in the near future to promote and strengthen their ambitions.
