Thiruvananthapuram : HLL Lifecare Limited, a Miniratna public sector undertaking under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, celebrated the country’s 80th Independence Day. HLL Chairperson and Managing Director (CMD) Dr Anita Thampi hoisted the national flag at its corporate headquarters in Poojappura. HLL directors Ajith N. (Marketing), P. Ramesh (Finance) and Benny Joseph (Technical and Operations) also attended the function. Employees who completed 25 years of service with the organisation were felicitated on the occasion.
HLL is a key partner of the Union government in making medicines, medical devices, contraceptive products and diagnostic services available to the public at affordable rates. The company provides life-saving medicines through its AMRIT pharmacy network and advanced diagnostic services through its Hindlabs centres. Established in 1966 as part of the Union government’s family planning programme, HLL has since expanded its operations and emerged as a significant player in the healthcare sector.
