New Delhi: The Union Government is firm on creating infrastructure along border areas for improvement of livelihood in Arunachal Pradesh. Asserting this at a media briefing in New Delhi, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Arindam Bagchi on Thursday  said, government keeps constant watch on developments having bearing on nation’s security and takes all measures to safeguard sovereignty and territorial integrity. He said, the government has stepped up border infrastructure, which has provided the much needed connectivity for local population.

Mr Bagchi said that China has undertaken construction activities along the border areas over several years, including areas which it has illegally occupied.
